Droga5 puts down another marker with debut for kwiff

Oh no, not another betting ad..

Here another for kwiff, an app that may improve the odds, from Droga5.

Droga5 ECD David Kolbusz, who’s beginning to make waves in London since he came on board from Wieden+Kennedy New York, says: “Do you like money? I do. But I have no idea how to get more. A really good way to get more money than you have is to place a bet with kwiff. Kwiff is a sports betting app that occasionally gives you better odds than you initially buy into. If you download it now your life will be exponentially better.”

Kwiff founder and CEO Karl Engström says: “For us, as a young company with big ambitions to disrupt a very competitive industry, we knew from the start that we needed to create not only an amazing product experience but also tell our story in a way that cuts through and makes people think. ‘It’s perfectly normal, until its kwiffed!’ truly tells our story about how we offer a product that delivers.”

D5 likes hyperbole (as does kwiff evidently) but it does funny as well. It just may be the first agency in London to match adam&eveDDB for its trademark combination of confidence, directness and technical accomplishment.

And, like A&E, it realises that what it’s doing is advertising, not trying to change the world.

Excellent, reminds you of Wieden’s best American efforts too.
