Coke’s global Christmas ad lacks truck appeal

Coca-Cola is launching what it says is its biggest Christmas campaign (in the UK) anyway with this ad from Madrid’s Sra. Rushmore and a nationwide tour by those surreal monster Coke trucks, finishing in that home of extra Christmas cheese London’s Leicester Square.

Coke has somehow made itself synonymous with Christmas, in adland legend anyway. For some reason we Brits seem to only be getting a 30-second version of the ad, here’s a 60-second one for the much more important market of Kossovo.

What’s with the weird soft focus?
