Droga5’s ‘Realistic Anthem’ for Rustlers may be the least of England’s football worries

Droga5 in London has finally sprung into action with a Euro 2016 online film – ‘The Realistic Anthem’ – for burger brand Rustlers.

Euro 2016 fills you with dread, not the sort instanced here in the form of another England early exit, but fan trouble and wider security issues. All of which was predictable and cheerfully ignored by advertisers.

Anyway, this is straight out of the D5 New York songbook, a documentary-style contrarian view as in its lauded US Newcastle Brown campaign. This one features England’s most-capped player, goalie Peter Shilton, and Chesney Hawkes, who was once famous for something or other.

It’s a bit too long and Rustlers gets forgotten rather as the lads have an enjoyably miserable time.

But it’s different and will put D5 London, belatedly, on the map.
