Transport for London, whose remit includes the the various transport services run in the capital by the Greater London Authority and various Met Police and Fire Service initiatives, is believed to have appointed VCCP to handle its ad account. The substantial business left M&C Saatchi last year after 15 years.
The review was open to agencies outside the usual government roster and included a selection of London’s top shops. TfL has been ringing the changes recently, appointing JC Decaux to handle its bus shelters advertising contract and confirming Exterion (formerly CBS Outdoor) as its rail contractor.
The win is timely for VCCP which recently lost the £95m Asda creative account after just two years. Asda moved to previous agency Saatchi & Saatchi without a pitch.
