Under Armour has risen to second place in the US running market – not least because of the efforts of agency Droga5 – and now the duo are taking on the football world with their first such global campaign.
It’s aspirational stuff as you’d expect, featuring Manchester United’s Dutch import Memphis Depay (who could have been the only big name footballer without a boot contract) and various up and coming tyros.
The theme is ‘Slay Your Next Giant’ and Under Armour seems to be offering bespoke bootlaces (boots are called cleats in the US, rather bizarrely) setting various goals.
A neat idea. Not the most exciting ad.
