Spend half an hour at MIPTV with Maurice Levy

As soon as the sun comes out so do the awards/endless talk fests – Cannes isn’t that far away now, of course.

Last week we had Adweek Europe in London and now it’s turn of MIPTV, another excuse to leg it to Cannes.

Star of the show, at least as far as many in adland are concerned, was Maurice Levy of Publicis Groupe and the old schmoozer was on top form, including aiming a well-aimed barb at old enemy Sir Martin Sorrell who apparently remarked at Adweek that innovative small companies were “the biggest threat” to big outfits like WPP. I suspect SMS was thinking of companies like Google – which was an innovative small company around the time Sorrell was buying Y&R – rather than agencies or whatever, but there you go.

Anyway time spent chez Maurice is usually well spent so here’s half an hour of him.
