Droga5 snipes at ‘patriotic’ Apple with Motorola Moto X fourth of July launch

Motorola is launching its first big new product since being bought by Google (allegedly for its long list of patents).

The new phone is called the Moto X and Motorola has hired happening New York agency Droga5 to kick off proceedings – which it’s done in some style by (a) using press and (b) flagging the new phone (which you don’t actually see but is customisable apparently) as the patriotic choice as all of it is designed and made in America.

Unlike a certain Apple product which isn’t despite its current flag-waving campaign ‘Designed by Apple in California.’

Here’s Droga5’s debut.

And, appropriately, the campaign is being launched on the fourth of July.
