TBWA’s Being Worldwide to open in Shanghai

Omnicom-owned TBWW is launching an new outpost of its Being Worldwide network in Shanghai.

Being boss Nicholas Bordas (left) says: “Je suis convaincu que sous la direction de Shel, Being Shanghai aura un grand succès auprès des de clients à la fois nationaux et internationaux. Being Shanghai bénéficiera de toutes les ressources des bureaux Being du monde entier.” (Yes, dear readers, this communication was in French but I’m doing my best).

Being was, indeed, devised in France, and now has offices in Paris, Lille, Lyon, New York, Los Angeles, London, Doha and Seoul as well as Shanghai. It’s what used to be called a below-the-line agency but is now much more cool and creative, including the sales promotion efforts once housed in Omnicom brand Tequila and digital, once at agency.com. It also includes design and shopper marketing.

Shel Liu has been appointed directrice générale of Being Shanghai with Colin Lee as directeur de création.
