Agency 101 has produced an interesting spin on the dreaded YouTube influencers – those people paid for plugging products, often without telling you about the payment – for UK games retailer GAME (there are lots of games in this).
It’s signed up Inbetweeners actor James Buckley who also hosts his own YouTube gaming channel Completed It Mate to overtly and shamelessly plug GAME products. There’ll be another ten or so ads (running on TV as well as Buckley’s channel) so young James will have to earn his pile of swag.
GAME, like many high street-based UK niche retailers, has had its ups and down but soldiers gamely on. 101 always goes the extra mile to try to produce something different.
