Anomaly Amsterdam wins eyewear giant Carrera

Anomaly Amsterdam has won Carrera eyewear following a four-way pitch.

Carrera, originally an Austrian brand known for ski googles but now owned by Italy’s Safilo Group, is one of the giants of the global eyewear trade but, hitherto, not a significant advertiser.

Now it seems to be becoming more ambitious and has chosen Anomaly to handle brands brand strategy, communications planning, advertising, partnerships and digital and social media.

UnknownAnomaly Amsterdam president Hazelle Klønhammer (left) says: “Carrera is one of those hidden gems, with a rich brand history and so much untapped potential. Their ambition and strong desire for progress across every aspect of their business is inspiring.”

Anomaly, part-owned by MDC Partners, was founded in 2004 by former Simons Palmer co-founder Carl Johnson. it has offices in New York, London, Amsterdam, Toronto and Shanghai.
