There’s a lot to like about Levi’s Christmas effort, a tribute to a 1995 ad that was, it says, the “first full-length television commercial shot entirely in Claymation.”
CMO Kenny Mitchell says: “Anchored by a film created entirely with stop-motion Claymation, it’s also the celebration of the craft and human creativity synonymous with the Levi’s® brand. ‘Let’s Get Fuzzy’ is another step in our ambition to be the world’s leading denim lifestyle brand, putting into focus our range of sweaters as the perfect pairing to our iconic denim this holiday season and building on our ambition to grow across categories.”
All for ancient properties being reused but how many will recall the original? The clever new version from Blink is selling Christmas sweaters but would you know that either? Guess the shops will be full of sweaters.
So A for effort but: MAA creative scale: 6.
