WPP launches flagship London production hub

Advertiser brands Creative Agencies

WPP has opened Devon’s Point, a new, flagship production facility in East London, further proof it’s planning a one-stop ad shop. The ad giant recently withdrew its advice to staff that they should try to snaffle work from production companies.

The new 34,000 sq ft facility brings together AI-powered virtual production technology, modular studio environments and post-production capabilities under one roof, allowing WPP’s global clients to move from concept to finished content in one.

The facility will be operated by newly-minted WPP Production, formerly Hogarth. There are plans for further such facilities in other main WPP markets.

CEO Cindy Rose, CEO of WPPc says: “Our clients are operating in a fiercely competitive and fast paced environment, and they are asking us for bolder, more integrated solutions. Devon’s Point brings our world-class creativity and our advanced AI capabilities under one roof to do exactly that. It’s a major investment in our people, our technology, and ultimately, the success of our clients.”
