While the nation anxiously awaits the new John Lewis ad from adam&eveDDB – the Brits are in a delicate state at the moment with Brexit and all that and a bummer for JL could tip them over the edge – digital marketing agency AGY47 (me neither) has ranked past glories according to search interest and YouTube views.
Top is last year’s Elton John epic with 13,904,953 views on YouTube and at launch a search interest score of 79/100 – the second highest such score.
In second place overall was Buster The Boxer ad from 2016, which achieved a higher search interest score than any other advert, with 100/100. But Buster only managed 1,148,375 views according to AGY47. Third place was shared by firm favourites Monty The Penguin and The Bear and The Hare (the first of the big numbers.)
