Cannes Lions: US agencies continue winning streak in Craft and Entertainment

Cannes seems to be delivering this year and it’s US agencies that are delivering most of the goodies.

Three Craft Grand Prix were awarded: Film Craft for the much-lauded New York Times’ ‘The truth is worth it’ campaign from Droga5; Industry Craft to Nike’s ‘Just do it at the church’ from Momentum Worldwide and Digital Craft to Norwegian clothes brand Carlings and Virtue Copenhagen for ‘Address the future,’ an all-digital clothing collection aimed at cutting waste with process to WaterAid.

The Entertainment Grand Prix went to 5B, am hour-long plus documentary about the early treatment of Aids in the US sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, Entertainment for Music GPs went to Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) for ‘This Is America’ and AKQA Sao Paulo’s ‘Bluesman’ featuring Baco Exu do Blues.

The Entertainment for Sport GP went to Nike’s ‘Dream Crazy’ from Wieden+Kennedy. They’ll need an extra suitcase to transport all the Dream Crazy gongs back to Portland.
