Hammersley’s Harbour collective moves up a notch with ex-Ogilvy big names Chesters and Mahoney

Paul Hammersely’s Harbour agency collective has just take a turn for the more interesting, former Ogilvy UK execs Mick Mahoney (CCO) and Kevin Chesters (CSO) joining Hammersley as partners (below, right to left.)

Which makes Harbour a pretty formidable ad agency in its own right.

Harbour has about a dozen or so agencies across the spectrum on its books already, covering everything from social to performance marketing. But it’s proved a hard sell, not because of its resources but because clients don’t have the time to get their heads around something new – even though it’s what they’ve been asking for: a less bureaucratic full service agency.

Mahoney (also the one-time ECD at Y&R) and Chesters are heavyweights, as is Hammersley who learned his account director skills under Sir Frank Lowe, the most testing of environments.

We’ll see. But Harbour now looks like a much more compelling offer.
