Eight&four steams into Din Tai Fung UK restaurant launch

Social and creative agency eight&four has been appointed by Taiwan-based international restaurant chain Din Tai Fung to launch its first two UK outlets in London.

Din Tai Fung specialises in steamed buns – Xiao Long Bao in the vernacular – prepared by teams of chefs. Founded in Taipei in 1958, it now has outlets in Japan, The US, Singapore, China, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, Macau, the United Arab Emirates and the Philippines.

Din Tai Fung brand development manager UK Alex Wiesinger says: “Eight&four immediately demonstrated their profound understanding of our brand. We were impressed by their highly personal client management skills and their rich heritage in the hospitality industry.”

Eight&four joint MD Amy McCulloch says: “This is a highly anticipated restaurant launch due to the brand’s global success story.
