Sharpe completes new VML London line-up with former Y&R colleague Taylor
Digital agency network VML may have an interesting future in Mark Read’s new broom WPP – some have speculated it might be combined with one of WPP’s creative agency networks – but, whatever happens, digital agencies seem set to play a bigger role under Read.
VML Europe is now helmed by former Y&R CEO Jon Sharpe and he’s re-uniting with a former colleague, former Y&R head of marketing and new business Lucy Taylor. Taylor, who held the same role at Brothers & Sisters is currently an account partner at London independent agency Isobel.
Taylor says: “My priority at VML will be to shine a light on the London agency and continue the incredible momentum established by the team since January.”
This year VML London has won the Nestlé Skin Health and Baileys global digital accounts. VML employs 3000 people in 33 locations.
Sharpe says: “Lucy brings great expertise, experience and determination to the role. She has relentless energy and drive and will be an invaluable addition to VML London.”
Taylor completes the London management line-up of managing director Amanda Farmer, ECD Harsh Kapadia, head of strategy Andy Ortner, head of people Jennifer Kemp, head of client engagement Marcus Keith, head of delivery Will Plummer and finance director Gary Paul (all below, Taylor in red).
