Talon hires technology whizz Grljevic from Exterion as first transformation head

Transformation is the buzz word of the moment in adland and elsewhere and now independent out of home specialist agency Talon Outdoor has created the new role of chief transformation officer to reflect the the growing importance of data, technology and automation.

Talon has hired Josko Grljevic (below), chief technology officer position at out of home media owner Exterion Media to “drive technology-led change” at the agency, now into its sixth year of operation.

Talon is designing, testing and developing proprietary technology platforms including Automation Platform for OOH (Plat>O) and Out-of-Home Data Management Platform (ODMP), with partners including data experts Black Swan, collaborating with OOH media owners and its media agency partners.

Before Exterion Grljevic held a number of senior technology and leadership roles at Barclays, Barclaycard, Trainline.com, Tesco.com, Microsoft and Woolworths Australia, implementing technology changes across a number of industries.

Talon managing director Frank Bryant says: “Digitisation and technology is having a transformational impact on the out of home advertising business globally. We believe that automation technologies will continue to transform how we transact OOH media, creating workflow efficiencies for our business and the OOH sector.
