At MAA we’ve always been a touch sceptical about data, not least because it’s attached to everything like a mantra. Now that every mobile ad and promotion features the wretched stuff – it means memory – it’s become a word to flee from.
But it can work, at least according to this video courtesy of Business Insider, showing it’s the only hope for goalkeepers trying to save a penalty. Apart from a defender taking one in a shoot-out obviously.
Of course it’s an awful lot of palaver to predict the future outcome of a nano-second incident. So maybe, referencing marketing, it’s better to just guess – or trust your instinct – anyway.
