Deliveroo for the7stars, Formula E for Iris

The7stars, which has carved out a sizeable niche as the UK’s biggest media independent, has won food delivery company Deliveroo.

Launched in 2013, Deliveroo delivers for local restaurant chains and independents and now operates in over 100 cities across the UK and Ireland and is expanding internationally.

Deliveroo head of marketing Emily Kraftman says: “We have chosen the7stars to be our UK and Ireland media agency. We felt their strategy to be compelling and felt that the7stars’ values and ways of working fit very well with how we work at Deliveroo. We’re really excited to work together and confident we are going to deliver some amazing campaigns together.”

The7stars now claims £270m in billings with a client list including Suzuki, Ladbrokes Coral, Discovery, Nintendo, Gumtree and Iceland.

At the same time creative agency Iris has won Formula E, the electric car rival to Formula 1. Iris, now part of the Cheil network, has had a good year with a number of wins. It will work on marketing projects plus ideas to improve Formula E as a spectacle.

Formula 1 recently appointed Wieden+Kennedy as its agency.
