Droga5’s David Kolbusz on the end of an era of naughty ads

I see that Droga5’s David Kolbusz has been choosing “three ads I had nothing to do with” for TV body Thinkbox, one of which didn’t air and they didn’t feel able to show – so Kolbusz describes it.

Here goes then, it’s Jonathan Glazer for Cadbury’s Flake – that source of oral satisfaction through the ages – featuring a red devil and what look like some escaped vestals from a Lynx commercial, showing their true colours.

As Kolbusz says, this is the end of an era where anything went.

Here’s a Lynx commercial (absolutely no vestals) from the same era.

Phew! We can all breathe a sign of relief that that’s all over.
