Saatchi revamps B2B operation as Saatchi pro, wins Vaillant

Saatchi & Saatchi London is relaunching its business to business agency Saatchi Masius as Saatchi & Saatchi pro at the same time as winning the Vaillant Group boilers business.

It has also hired David Curzon from 360i as its new ECD and Beth Freedman, who has worked at a number of Publicis Groupe agencies, as head of client service (both below). Saatchi & Saatchi pro already exists in Berlin where it handles business including Deutsche Telekom, Toyota, P&G, Commerzbank, T-Systems, BASF and Pepperl+Fuchs.

New ECD Curzon says: “Joining Saatchi & Saatchi pro is an exciting challenge, one that means creating a culture of creativity for our clients & people, that sits at the forefront of everything we do. The potential is huge and the access to the Saatchi network means we have the heritage and minds to collaborate with, to create truly meaningful and breakthrough work.”

Vaillant Group marketing director Alice Woolley says: ”I am delighted to welcome Saatchi pro as part of the extended Vaillant Group team. Part of our strategy for sustainable growth includes a new direction and focus for both of our brands, Vaillant and Glow-worm. Saatchi pro has shown how they understand these inspiring new challenges and align with our vision. These are exciting times for both companies and Vaillant Group is looking forward to working with such an enthusiastic and experienced team.”

Masius, now interred, was once one of the biggest agencies in London, vying with J. Walter Thompson for top spot before the Saatchi brothers came along. Masius became part of D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles which was bought by Leo Burnett in 1999. Leo Burnett was later bought by Publicis Groupe as was Saatchi.
