Herezie offers valuable insights into autism

Sunday April 2 is the ninth World Autism Awareness Day and French agency Herezie is making a pro bono contribution with this ad/mini-doc featuring young Enzo’s struggles. One per cent of the world’s children have been diagnosed with autism, mostly boys strangely.

Autism is the Foster family business in some ways (wife and son both teach children with autism) so your correspondent knows a bit about it and this film demonstrates clearly the pain that parents go through as well as the satisfaction they gain from their children’s achievements. Showing that some at least are clever and creative kids.

One quibble: not sure you can “vaincre l’autisme’ or that it’s something to be healed. Isn’t it more a case of understanding and adjustment?

MAA creative scale: 8.
