M&C Saatchi may have 20-odd offices worldwide (many minority stakes) but big international clients seem rather thin on the ground.
But now its Milan office has been appointed by big Italian bank UniCredit (8500 branches and 147000 employees worldwide) to handle the creative in 17 markets around the next three years of its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League.
Which, as the world goes mad about Leo Messi and his chums at Barcelona, surely counts as proper international business.
Creative partner and co-founder Vincenzo Gasbarro says: “We are very proud to work for UniCredit and UEFA for such a great international campaign. It has been a very challenging tender and we are happy that our idea was so appreciated.”
