New-style Albion appoints Pleydell-Pearce from Huge as first head of product design
Agencies are changing and Jason Goodman’s Albion in London is charting its own course, positioning itself as a ‘creative business partner,’ doing more than ads and branding (although it does those things as well).
So the agency, now owned by MDC Partners’ KBS Group, has appointed Nick Pleydell-Pearce (left) from digital agency Huge as its first director of product design. Pleydell-Pearce has been charged with leading a team covering user experience, usability testing, design and development and, specifically, coming up with new wheezes for client Comparethemarket. At Huge he worked on Unilever, Turkish Airlines and MoneySuperMarket.
Pleydell-Pearce says: “I’m delighted to join an agency that is ahead of the curve. We share a belief in an engaged, and intuitive creative process, creating designs and products that have a sustained influence on the audience.”
CEO Goodman says: “Nick’s appointment reflects Albion’s commitment to creating user-centred product design that solves the big digital engagement challenges of the day. Nick’s knowledge of commerce, alongside his international experience will be invaluable as we grow our presence globally. We look forward to seeing world-class work come out of London under Nick’s stewardship.”
