NatWest and M&C promise fair banking at last – on credit cards, that is

‘Goodbye unfair banking, hello NatWest’ is a pretty brave statement from the RBS-owned bank and agency M&C Saatchi but an appealing one for a disenchanted market.

And, as with M&C’s best work, the point is made clearly and effectively, in this case via the agency of (someone else’s) nasty, slippery bank manager: also quite brave.

We should note, however, that this ‘rates won’t change’ offer applies to credit cards. Is the bank prepared to offer the same fair banking undertaking to savers?

You see, we still don’t trust them. But it’s a step in the right direction.
