Harvey Nichols and adam&eve subvert Christmas once again with ‘Could I Be Any Clearer?’ guide to presents

Harvey Nichols and agency adam&eveDDB are up to their (relatively) old tricks again, subverting the gooeyness (and, often, pointlessness) of Christmas presents.

This time you can get a customised Christmas card from the posh emporium detailing what you want – ‘Could I Be any Clearer?’ – although it may not necessarily be what your friends and relatives want to buy you.

Last Christmas their ‘I’m sorry I spent It On Myself’ campaign won every award going, including a gaggle of Grand Prix at Cannes. Doubt that this will do the same (surprised that last year’s effort won all those awards). Awards juries will probably be culling a&e entries with a sniper rifle, you know what they’re like.

But this is probably a better Christmas ad; a beady eye on a a wonderful world in which teenies expect glittery six-inch heels.

Refreshingly heartless.
