Guinness shows its roots in ‘Pursuit of More’ – but does anyone care, apart from Guinness?

Here’s a rather peculiar offering from Guinness – ‘In Pursuit of More’ – from Philadelphia agency Quaker City, according to Adweek.

Usually Guinness sells the sizzle rather than the sausage, most notably in its celebrated ‘Surfer’ commercial.

But clients love this ‘what we did with loving care’ stuff – even thought one of the main strands of the commercial, that Guinness is 255 years into a 9000 year lease on its Dublin brewery, is, apparently, not true. It owns it.

We really don’t care guys – get back to the sizzle.
