W+K Portland unveils Nike World Cup blockbuster

Well here it is (and there may be more), it’s Nike’s blockbuster for the forthcoming World Cup in Brazil – featuring every effing footballer on the planet apart from Adidas properties Lionel Messi and David Beckham (retired).

This is the long-form online version and it starts great (superstars meet park life), loses its way in the middle a bit as it hits the stadia but then picks up to plant a human dimension on this mega-bucks gladiatorial extravaganza.

With these things, to borrow an analogy from rugby and cricket, it’s important not to drop the ball. This doesn’t, but it’s better than that.
