CumminsRoss lures top creative duo from BBDO
CumminsRoss, the agency Sean Cummins and Jason Ross set up in Melbourne just over two years ago, has made a big statement of its ambitions by luring creative directors Ben Couzens and Jim Ingram (right) from the mighty Clemenger BBDO Melbourne as its new creative directors. Agency co-founder Jason Ross is ECD.
Ingram says: “We’ve been watching CumminsRoss with a careful eye and what these guys have managed to achieve in just three years is nothing short of impressive. To be given an opportunity to take the creative reigns and help shape the next chapter is an exciting prospect. We can’t wait to get stuck into it, there are exciting times ahead.”
Clemenger has promoted deputies Ant Philips and Richard Williams to the top creative jobs.
CumminsRoss has recently hired Naked founder Adam Ferrier, ex Omnicom M&A chief Craig Hart, and ex Possible European MD Scott Heron. Cummins and Ross clearly feel there’s plenty of room for expansion on the booming Aussie/Asian ad scene where the two Clemenger offices in Melbourne and Sydney are among the bigger players along with Droga5.
CumminsRoss, which claims to be offer a full service with both media and digital in-house, now also has a South Australia office in Adelaide. Its clients include Alfa Romeo/Fiat, Dairy Australia, Hilton and Jacob’s Creek.
