Wonders will never cease: there’s a been a spate of decent press ads in the UK (well one or two) and now a spirits brand, Bacardi-owned Dewar’s White Label whisky, has produced a rather fine campaign (even George Parker likes it!) by Spanish agency &rosas.
It’s the usual inspiration stuff but ‘Live True,’ with lines from So You Want To Be A Writer? by Charles Bukowski, is genuinely compelling – with real people too. Wieden+Kennedy Portland tried the same approach for Levi’s, with less success (and a brilliant campaign for Southern Comfort, lest we forget).
Will this grab the gongs in the awards shows? Don’t see why not. It doesn’t even need a scam version.
