Crazy Domains’ Pamela Anderson ad is banned in the UK – is this a boob on the part of the ad censors?
There’s an Aussie company called Crazy Domains stepping cheerfully into the shoes of America’s Go Daddy by making the boring business of web domaining a bit more interesting by showing tits and ass, with an overlay of innuendo.
Well that’s what they do.
But Crazy Domain’s latest opus in the UK has been banned because it’s deemed to be offensive to women, even though it features quite a well-known one in former Baywatch star and Playboy model Pamela Anderson.
It’s not a very good ad anyway, and a bit of a waste of Pammie, who can be quite funny.
But, really, what’s the point of banning it? And aren’t they, in the process, doing the surgically-enhanced Ms Anderson out of a career?
One for the European Court of Human Rights perhaps? While we’re on the subject, she looked much better au naturelle anyway.
