‘Clever’ media buyers get their just desserts in Imgur’s selection of poster and press howlers

When I was editor of a ‘proper’ magazine my heart used to sink when the ad manager would come along and say such and such a media agency has had a really clever ad idea.

Oh yeah, what is it this time? A portrait ad on the first A4 news page? A scratch and sniff invitation on the leader page? Luddite, I know.

Anyway photo-sharing site Imgur.com has produced 23 unfortunate placements which should put the aforementioned media buyers in their place. Here’s one.

Well worth a longer look.

Spotted by Duncan Smith, who should be concentrating on his day job of running St Paul’s Cathedral’s booming retail operation.
