Fred Rodwell and Andrew Parsons, the creative team behind UK agency VCCP’s ‘Morethan Freeman’ campaign for insurance company MoreTh>n, are among a number of new hirings at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam.
The most senior hiring is Genevieve Hoey (left), an Australian, who joins as a creative director from BSUR Amsterdam where she played a leading role on the global BMW Mini account. Another hiring with Mini experience is planner Danny Feeney who joins from AKQA Amsterdam where he also worked on Philips. Which could, but may not, be a coincidence.
Andrew Allen, who has worked as a producer at Droga5 in New York and Rens Amsterdam is joining as W+K Amsterdam’s digital production director and Claire Beesley is joining as client PR co-ordinator from TBWA.
Agency staff come and go at a bewildering rate of course but W+K Amsterdam has been a net recruiter in recent years. The agency, which handles Heineken, Coca-Cola, Nike, GE and newish win Carrera eyeware, won the Gunn Report’s gong for most-awarded agency in 2011.
