Creative services directors (they trade under a number of names) seem to be going up in the world these days; maybe it’s the trend to fewer but bigger commercials as advertisers factor in online exposure and therefore budgets go up.
Arnold, Havas’s other network, has poached Lia Armatas (left) from all-conquering Grey New York as its new director of creative services. At Grey she worked on a number of accounts including Super Bowl efforts for finance firm E-trade plus a number of Cannes winners. Armatas says: “Arnold is in an exciting phase of client and creative growth,” Armatas says: “I am thrilled to be contributing to agency culture and helping lead the push to elevate creative talent and output at its core. Nurturing this department will be my main focus.”
Arnold has indeed been doing well and has boosted its creative department with other big hirings recently including Craig Miller, a former Crispin Porter creative director, after a rather brief stay at VCCP in London.
