New WPP Lincoln agency Hudson Rouge invites customers to write its ads – crazy or what?

It’s been a trend for a while of course – Pepsico’s Doritos has been crowd-sourcing ideas for its Super Bowl ads for a while now.

But savoury snacks are one thing, buying a car that costs about the same as a small house is quite another.

But new WPP agency Hudson Rouge (we get the Hudson, it’s in New York but Rouge?) is now asking customers to write its Ford Lincoln ads: why?

This is Jimmy Fallon asking people to ‘steer the script.’

But isn’t that what agencies are paid to do?
