Unconventional chocolates are all the rage despite these straightened times and Swiss firm Ricola, founded in 1930 and still family-owned, is to return to TV in the UK with a £3m budget.
Havas-owned Arena Media has landed the media planning and buying account against three other agencies, the creative work will be produced in-house.
The new campaign will promote Ricola as the sweet with a “natural mouthwatering taste that epitomising the Swiss Alps.” The chocolates don’t contain additives. The campaign will target upmarket 35-64 year old women (there’s a surprise) and will launch on Sunday night.
Arena Media, the second Havas media network after MPG, claims to be the fast-growing part of the French-owned marcoms company. Long-term clients include Domino’s Pizza, Thomas Cook, ESPN and Suzuki. More recent wins include Legal and General, Next PLC, Red Driving School and AXA.
