Have you noticed the way ‘Christmas’ has become ‘Holiday’ in the US? They’re all it, retailers for example and now we have a cartoon Snoop Dogg (playing Ebeneezer Snoop aka Scrooge) wishing everyone a ‘Merry Holiday Day.’ Belatedly, of course.
It’s all part of this Beavis and Butt-Head-styled opus from Sid Lee for Adidas, whose only purpose seems to be to point out that Adidas has lots of sports celebs on its books – David Beckham, Derrick Rose, Andy Murray and Stan Smith, the one-time Wimbledon champ – and direct reformed Scrooges to Adidas’s Facebook page from which they can send a discount voucher.
Full marks for effort but..
