Toyota’s Prius ‘family’ hums happily away in crisis-torn car market

This is Toyota’s new campaign for the Prius ‘family,’ currently running in the US. And it has all the signs of a global campaign sitting in the wings.

Despite seemingly endless product recalls Toyota seems to be the one car company that’s currently surfing the car market’s turbulent waters when it comes to fuel-efficient cars. Electric vehicles have been left firmly on the starting grid as cash-strapped motorists look for something cheaper to run, chiefly a hybrid.

The campaign, ‘Hum’ by Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles borrows a bit from Honda’s ‘Cog’ and even a bit, maybe, from the Lloyds Bank campaign with winsome animated characters but it’s none the worse for that.
