Arnold Worldwide has poached Paul Stechschulte from San Francisco’s Pereira & O’Dell to be ECD of Arnold Amsterdam and creative lead on its Volvo account. Stechschulte has also been a creative director at Goodby Silverstein and worked at Wieden+Kennedy and 180 in Amsterdam and Crispin Porter in Miami. He replaces Sean Thompson who left in September.
He is the latest in a series of recent Arnold creative hirings, most notably Craig Miller (pictured) who joined London’s VCCP just a year ago from Crispin Porter where he produced some celebrated Domino’s Pizza work. At the time Miller joining VCCP was seen by some excitable commentators (us) as preparation for VCCP expanding internationally. Evidently things didn’t work out. Miller is going to Arnold HQ in Boston as a creative director.
Arnold Boston has also hired two more creative directors for Boston: Peter Johnson from LBi New York and Eric Enberg from Butler Shine Stern & Partners.
In charge of all these creative directors is Arnold CCO and managing partner Pete Favat. He says: “Expanding the agency’s creative offering by hiring outstanding talent with fully integrated creative and technology expertise is one of our most important areas of focus. Paul is that next generation of cross-trained thinkers – a digital native with amazing brand building expertise. We are thrilled to have him join the Arnold Worldwide team.”
