Accident-prone Nokia claims it’s time to switch from iPhone to Lumia 920

Here’s a German ad, ‘Time to Switch,’ for the new Nokia Lumia 920, the new smartphone on which the future of what was once the world’s leading phone company probably depends.

And, just like Samsung, it’s having a pop at Apple’s iPhone5, depicting nerdy types in a queue with the additional spin that these muppets are standing in line for a phone that only comes in one colour.

Does it do the job? Well nearly half a million people have watched it on YouTube so far so maybe it does. Or maybe this just testifies to the irrational human fascination with phones.

It’s to be hoped it plays rather better than some of the earlier Lumia promotional material which features a camera function that isn’t actually provided by a Lumia.
