Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam poaches top VCCP creatives Albert and Claverie

Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam is continuing its policy of poaching top London talent, luring Thierry Albert and Faustin Claverie from VCCP to join as creative directors.

At VCCP the duo worked on successful pitches for Macmillan Cancer Nurse and McLaren Automotive as well as the O2 account while at their previous agency Mother they worked on pitches for Butlins and HTC.

Pitching skills seem to be more highly-rated than ever these days; TBWA’s recent hiring of Walter Campbell and Sean Doyle owed something to such abilities as well as their proven track record on accounts like Guinness at former agency AMV/BBDO.

According to Albert and Claverie said “As huge fans of good cheese and mountain climbing, we’re indeed super excited to come to Holland and work at Wieden+Kennedy to keep on doing some great work.”

You would expect none other than a penchant for cheese from the two founders of the Surrender Monkeys creative collective which directs pop videos for artists including The Kooks and the Pet Shop Boys.
