MSC brand manager Valentina Mancini says: “We were impressed with the way in which Leagas Delaney quickly and intuitively understood our business and got to a strong strategic and creative solution. We’re looking forward to a successful relationship with them.”
Leagas Delaney MD James Hayhurst says: “MSC Cruises is a fantastic brand and an impressive global operation. We’re very excited to have been offered the opportunity to help them grow their business and develop their brand communications.”
MSC claims to be the fourth-biggest cruise operator worldwide with 12 ships carrying about 1.4m passengers. The company makes great play of its environmental and safety credentials and also its support for a UNICEF community project in Brazil.
Which presumably will be of assistance to Leagas Delaney as it sets out on its task as the cruise industry has been bedevilled by problems over the last couple of years as its floating hotels have sometimes proved less than seaworthy, most notably market leader Carnival Cruises’ Costa Concordia which ran aground off Tuscany in January with many deaths.
