The Drum, which started in the UK as a mag featuring out-of-London ad doings, is turning into a lively old organ and it’s launched a Fauxlympics competition for spoof ads.
One of the winners, from ‘Dan & Simon’ for Durex’s Performa condoms managed to fool Adweek who chose it as one of their ads of the day with a paean of praise to Durex.
Well what can you say? Adweek even after turbulent editor Michael Wolff left has its eccentric moments. Currently it’s running a food special issue.
