Old Spice sticks to its nerdy guns for the Olympics

Interesting Olympic ads are coming thick and fast now and here’s one from from Wieden+Kennedy Portland for Old Spice (W+K has provided a pretty high number of them, most notably Procter & Gamble corporate and Nike).

It would have been easy for W+K to revert to the Isaiah Mustafa route (or something close to it), majoring on yet more rippling muscles. But it’s done the opposite, sticking with its current nerd.

W+K Portland has been laying on the emotion with a trowel in some of its recent offerings. It’s good to see they still do jokes as well.
