It’s quite refreshing to see a car that’s designed to be fast in an ad showing just that – how fast it is. Most car ads these days, in the UK at least, are forever banging on about how good they are for the planet (often by using highly misleading figures).
No such nonsense in this new online campaign for VW from Deutsch LA. This one features the Jetta GLI with ‘speed guitarist’ John Taylor trying to go faster than stunt driver Eric Norris (above), Chuck’s son.
The copywriter was Donna Ko and the art director Kate O’Connor. Obviously it takes a girl team to capture the essence of boy racers these days.
