W+K’s Dan Wieden on how advertising really works

This is from Free TV Australia’s Think TV series, Wieden+Kennedy co-founder Dan Wieden explaining how broadcast TV and digital work best together, why clients need to listen and why he believes the best campaigns involve “creating strong, provocative relationships between good companies and their customers.” And why he hates “someone up there” (are you listening Google?) knowing what he’s up to.

“If I’m reading The Grapes of Wrath I don’t want someone coming on to me to sell me grapes.” Magnificent stuff.
