DGM’s Belgian TNT TV ‘drama’ is the ad of the year so far – according to Facebook and YouTube anyway

Unruly Media has produced a very useful list of the top 20 most (Facebook) shared and (YouTube) viewed ads so far this year and the clear winner is ‘A dramatic surprise on a quiet square’ for Belgian TV channel TNT from Duvall Guillaume Modem with nearly 4,000 shares and a staggering 34m YouTube views.

The copywriter was Dieter De Ridder and the art director Ad Van Ongeval. It was directed by Koen Motier for Czar.

Very good it is too, they’re into crowd-sourcing (is that what it is?) big time in Europe.

The full list of ads is here and very interesting it is too. Some of them we noticed and some we missed (like the table itself, my thanks to correspondent Martin Hayman, a frequent flyer round the blogosphere, who told me about it).
