One of the bits of Interpublic that’s working well at the moment (as opposed to its embattled DraftFCB) is Deutsch and the Lowe & Partners network agency has made an interesting signing with Qian Qian (pictured) from Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Boulder.
Qian is abandoning the Rockies for Deutsch New York where he will be creative director and VP. Deutsch New York CCO Greg DiNito says: “Qian’s passion is evident in everything he does, and he’s a real talent – he’s as strong conceptually as he is as a designer. We’re excited to have him aboard.”
Qian has been with CP+B since 2010 as interactive design director, working on clients including Domino’s, Baby Carrots, and Coke Zero. He has also worked at AKQA, McCann Erickson, and OgilvyOne in Beijing on clients including Coca-Cola, MasterCard, and Guinness. He has created illustrations for Wallpaper magazine and was an assistant professor at Missouri State University from 2003-2007 teaching web design and new technologies.
Qian will work on all Deutsch New York’s main accounts including PNC Bank, Microsoft and Unilever.
