BBH’s ‘Dear Sophie’ Webby winner for Google shakes the emotional tree

The recent Webby Awards for all things digital rather passed us by but BBH won the agency of the year and this ad for Google Chrome was perhaps the biggest crowd-pleaser.

And client Google Creative Lab seems determined to show that you can do emotion on the web, another example is its recent ‘Seven ages of Man’ ad for Google+ through Adam & Eve in the UK.

Actually the two ads are remarkably similar, in structure and content anyway. But showing how you can track and share your nearest and dearest through life is the obvious thing to do.

Next time Google shakes the emotional tree, though, it might have to come up with something different.
